Who We Are

UHDC Board

UHDC is a community-based organization with diversity in race/ethnicity, gender, and experience.  The UHDC Board of Directors is a nine-member board which consists of two County Judges, a retired construction contractor, a representative of a community-based organization, a retired home improvement retail employee, assistant manager of a retail business, a business owner, a county employee who operates a rental assistance program for very low income clients and a resident who was a participant in the Self-Help Housing program. Board Members live and work within the UHDC service area.  By Board Resolution, at least one-third of the membership of UHDC's board should come from low-income neighborhoods, low-income community residents or elected representatives of low-income neighborhood organizations.  Our board represents a cross-section of our community and has a passion for our organization and those we serve. The members work hard to ensure long-term sustainability of the organization and oversee that the funds raised directly affect those in need.
